FSB North Devon & Petroc invite you to attend ‘Higher Apprenticeships and the Changing HE Landscape’.
Join us at Petroc for our FREE ‘Higher Apprenticeships & the changing HE landscape’ event on Tuesday 13 June at Petroc (North Devon Campus), Old Sticklepath Hill, Barnstaple EX31 2BQ from 6pm.
The difficulty of recruiting people with the right skills is frequently reported in Northern Devon. Petroc is addressing this by improving and expanding higher education. This event will give all who attend an understanding of the current and future changes.
Jackie Franklin from Plymouth University, whose role is higher apprenticeships, will be the main speaker. She has given several presentations on apprentices in other parts of Devon.
Higher and degree apprenticeships were introduced to provide employers with the high level skills most critical for growth. The Government’s ambition is for it to become the norm for young people to achieve their career goals by going into an apprenticeship or to university – or in the case of some higher and degree apprenticeships – doing both. Over 75 different subjects are currently covered through higher and degree apprenticeship frameworks (with more in development), ranging from legal services and banking to digital and aerospace, representing hundreds of job roles.
This is a free event open to both FSB Members and non-members. There is free parking onsite.
